From the very beginning, 1916 in fact, we were interested in coming up with new ways to make your life easier.
Take for example our first success.It was created by the founder of our company, Antonio Zanussi. He built the first wood-burning stove with a cast iron hotplate in 1920.
Maybe it was his homeland, North-East Italy that provided the inspiration. After all, this revolutionary new stove helped to keep all those delicious pizzas warm.

Our approach worked. We went from 10 employees to 300 in just over 30 years.
And we continued to look at improving the little jobs you do every day by building the Zanussi Centre. A place dedicated to bringing innovation, technology and design together.
We enjoyed another first in 1951, when we launched the first gas cooker in Europe. Now, with quicker baking times and more ways to cook, we could really let ourselves go in the kitchen.

In the 1980’s we joined the Electrolux family and we continued to come up with products that made your day that much easier.
